In the 15+ years I’ve been practicing Bikram, Kay has BY FAR had the most influence on my practice. Every single class she teaches not only what we should be doing in the poses, but WHY. Additionally, she knows how to modify the correct way (for me during pregnancy and post-surgery), incorporating a unique individualized approach to her teaching that allows every body to safely heal, strengthen and improve. It’s been the best medicine I’ve experienced and was essential for me during pregnancy and postpartum. When I take Kay’s classes I find I work harder than anyone else’s because of her precision of detail and ability to see exactly where each student needs to improve. - When I first got pregnant, my body started changing and I thought that through my pregnancy I wouldn’t be able to incorporate movement in. After discovering Kay‘s pregnancy series I was able to move more freely and use her knowledge to feel comfortable in my body throughout all the changes that occurred.
